The Legislation Design and Advisory Committee provides education and training, relating to its role and the LAC Guidelines (2014 edition).
Each year it holds a number of short seminars and workshops for public servants. The seminars cover particular aspects of the Guidelines, its role, good legislative practice, and particular legislative design issues. It will also hold a larger, half-day seminar in mid-2016.
The previous Legislation Advisory Committee held a major seminar every two years primarily for public servants.
The papers from the seminars are available here and are excellent resources on the process of translating policy into legislation and on the interpretation of the Guidelines.
